Erik
Erik Kundt, born 1985, works as technical artist in the field of creative coding with a strong focus on its application in the performing arts. After studying computer science, he worked on both hardware and software in the field of professional music production for Native Instruments, and later on a smart contract programming language for the Ethereum Foundation.
Meanwhile, he was continually developing audio and video tools that he used for both his media work and his own smaller installations. In 2017, through productions with the independent artist group Costa Compagnie, he began to focus more on artistic projects and has since directed several dance, performance and documentary theater projects in their own technical fields, such as video mapping, VR / AR and AI. He was involved in productions and installations at Staatstheater Nürnberg, Edith-Russ-Haus für Medienkunst, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Ballhaus Ost Berlin, Staatstheater Oldenburg and others.
Currently he focuses on (generative) 3D programming and design, as well as on platforms for Web3-based artist communities.
